What is Neurological Reorganization?
Neurological Reorganization (NR) is a home-based program that involves doing specific developmental activities that cause brain organization and growth. It is based on the principles of normal development. The activities used are activities that healthy babies do before and after birth and during the first years of life that mature and organize the brain. When there are developmental delays or disruptions due to brain injury, NR can help heal and reorganize the brain. It gets to the root of neurological dysfunction and missing functions, filling in the gaps. The NR program takes an average of two years to complete, resulting in children and adults who are able to live up to their full neurological potential.
What is Rhythmic Movement Training?
Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT) is a movement-based program that matures the brain and integrates primitive reflexes. The program uses rhythmical movements that babies do spontaneously and also gentle isometric exercises that integrate reflexes. RMT helps improve many functions, including sensory integration, emotional maturity, academics, visual processing, language development, and coordination.
